Europe was once called the stronghold of liberal democracy. But now in France, Germany and Sweden the extreme right parties are in a strong position. Giorgia Meloni recently came to power in Italy after winning the country’s elections. She is known as a radical right-wing and fascist character.
In Sweden, the extreme right-wing political party ‘Sweden Democracy’ is in a strong position as the second largest party. The event in Sweden as well as Giorgia Melni’s victory in Italy surprised everyone.
The latest example of the rise of far-right parties in Europe was seen in Italy. After neo-Nazi and Fascist parties rose to such a powerful position, there was little response from liberal and democratic society.
Since there was no such reaction, it seems that no one has any complaints about their coming to power. Sweden and Italy have democratic elections. Voters have voted these parties into strong positions.
Meleni said that the Brothers of Italy was not a fascist political party. We believe in moderation. We will pick up where Mario Draghi left off.
But many people think that this Italian government will not be able to stay in power for more than one or two years. Meloni can’t act fascist even if he wants to. She is forced to go to the middle ground.
After the win, Meloni said there was no fear or panic for his team. She will unify Italy. Her party will work for everyone who has voted or not.
The lack of improvement in the quality of life in Europe is the main reason for the rise of far right and fascist parties. By this people are forced to take alternative measures. The parties that have been around for years have not done much for the development of Europe. Because of this, the people of Europe are very angry.
But Muslims, immigrants and minority populations may suffer worse in Europe. Because these political parties support Islam and anti-immigration and nurture radical nationalism.
