Vivo doesn’t want to be left behind in the foldable smartphone market. Earlier Vivo tried to compete with Samsung with their X-Fold smartphone. In less than six months, Vivo brought an upgraded version of the X Fold smartphone to the market.
The company is preparing to launch two foldable phones in 2023. One will be a phone with a flip-style form factor and the other will be the successor to the foldable smartphone.
A large part of the specifications of the Vivo X Fold 2 handset has been leaked on the Chinese social media site Weibo. Looking at the video’s slides, it seems that Vivo’s upcoming foldable phone is unlikely to see major changes in display size and resolution.
The resolution of the Vivo X Fold 2 smartphone will be 2160 x 1916 pixels. The refresh rate of the smartphone display will be 120 Hz. A brightness feature of up to 1800 nits is available. The smartphone will have an 8.03-inch folding display. Its cover display will be 6.5 inches and its resolution will be 2520*1080 pixels. It’s brightness will be up to 1600 nits.
The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset. Also, UFS 4.0 interface storage system will be used here. The smartphone features Wi-Fi 7 and LPDDR5X system RAM.
A 4800 MHz battery will power the Vivo smartphone. Besides, a 120-watt fast charging feature will also be provided here. Even a 50W wireless charging system has been added here.
Vivo may be ahead of Samsung and other phones in the market when it comes to wireless charging systems. Because Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 4 handsets featured a charging rate of 25 watts. The new smartphone will soon debut in the Chinese market.
