US State Department spokesperson Nate Price responded strongly to India’s response. He made it clear that Pakistan, like India, is an important ally of the US.
India did not support the sanctions taken against Russia in the war in Ukraine. During the war, India bought fuel from Russia at low prices. During this time, trade between the two countries increased, and good relations developed. That is why the US cannot trust India.
Pakistan has US-made F-16 fighter jets. Proper maintenance and development of this modern fighter aircraft are important for the country. New Delhi fears that Pakistan may use these warplanes against India.
Just when Pakistan was affected by floods, the Biden administration provided assistance to the country. US aircraft were used to deliver rapid relief.
The Biden administration has separately allocated $30 million in financial aid to Pakistan. On the other hand, the United Nations was trying to prepare $160 million for flood relief in Pakistan with US support.
India feels that Washington seeks to punish New Delhi by cultivating good relations with Islamabad. Indian media is regularly discussing this issue.
