Samsung Galaxy S20 UIltra and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra were released in 2020. From that time Samsung started using 108 megapixel camera in their smartphones. According to a news report in Korea, the Samsung Galaxy S23 UIltra smartphone will be equipped with a 200-megapixel camera.
The news report also states that Samsung has confirmed that their next smartphone will have a 200 megapixel camera sensor. But only UIltra variant will get this special feature.
But even before this, Samsung’s smartphone was rumored to use a 200 megapixel camera sensor. But Samsung has developed their 200 megapixel camera sensor in the lab which is named HP1. Last year the work of making this sensor was completed.
However, if the Galaxy S23 UIltra handset has a 200 megapixel camera, this is not the first time that Samsung is adding this feature. Earlier Motorola X30 Pro was released in China last week. Motorola has used a 200 megapixel camera sensor in this smartphone.
However, even if Samsung’s next flagship galaxy smartphone uses a 200 megapixel main camera sensor, there may be more than one camera sensor. That lenses are likely to be a telephoto and ultra wide lens.
The Galaxy S23 UIltra is likely to be released in February next year. Not much detailed information is available about the specifications of the smartphone.
