Sophie Belinda Turner, the daughter of Sally, a nursery school teacher, and Andrew, a pallet delivery company employee, was born in Northampton, England, on February 21, 1996. At age 2, she relocated to Chesterton, Warwickshire.
Before attending the autonomous The King’s High School for Girls, she attended Warwick Prep School until she was 11 years old.
Sophie Turner made her feature film debut in Another Me after appearing in the 2013 television movie The Thirteenth Tale. She played a young Jean Grey/Phoenix in the X-Men movie series and appeared in the action comedy Barely Lethal.

In August 2009, Sophie Turner was chosen to play the young nobility Sansa Stark in the HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones. When Turner was 14 years old, filming got underway in July 2010. Turner’s first television role was as Sansa.
In 2016, Turner and musician Joe Jonas of America began dating. They got engaged in October of last year.
On May 1, 2019, they exchanged vows in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Turner formally changed her last name to Jonas after getting married; the couple now calls Miami, Florida, home. On June 29, 2019, they had a second wedding ceremony in Paris, France. Two children were born to the couple in July 2020 and July 2022.
Turner was persuaded to apply for the role by her theatre teacher, and she turned her blonde hair chestnut for the part (although she started using wigs in Season 7. She and her on-screen sister, Maisie Williams, were nominated in 2012 for the Young Artist Award for Best Performance in a TV Series – Supporting Young Actress for their work as Sansa. In all eight televised seasons, Turner was present.
Turner received the role of Juliane Koepcke in the film Girl Who Fell From the Sky in November 2017. She will also oversee film production. In Toronto, Ontario, Canada, between March and April 2018, she shot the independent film Heavy. In the 1992 X-Men movie Dark Phoenix, which deals with the aftermath of Apocalypse, Turner played Jean Grey once more. 2019’s June saw the release of the movie.
She has appeared in print advertisements for the high-end fashion label Louis Vuitton. Turner was hired to appear in the thriller television series Survive in September 2019.
