After receiving death threats via email, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has taken measures to ensure his safety. He recently purchased a new bulletproof SUV car, a Nissan Patrol, which has been imported from abroad and is not even available in the Indian markets.
Although the Mumbai Police immediately increased security outside his home as soon as they learned about the threats, Khan felt the need to purchase a high-end bulletproof car for added protection.
The Nissan Patrol SUV is one of the most expensive models widely available in the South Asian market and is often used for security purposes.
In a recent statement, the Dabangg actor addressed the threatening emails, saying: “Poore India ke bhaijaan nahi hai, kisi ki jaan bhi hai. Bohot saaro ki jaan bhi hai. Bhaijaan unke liye hai jo ki bhai hai aur unke liye hai jise hum behen banana chahte hai.” (Translation: I am not just the brother of India, but also of those whose lives are in danger. Bhaijaan (a term of endearment) is for those who are like a brother and those we want to make our sisters.)
Despite the threats, Khan is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, which is set to hit theaters on Eid.
