A strange species of fish has been caught by Vermont ice fishermen. Vermont is a state in the northeastern part of the United States. The appearance of that fish seemed very strange. After catching the fish, the crew was intrigued as it seemed to have been on the cold ice for hours.
The interesting thing is that the fish was still alive in this cold environment. This oddly designed fish is caught directly from the ice hole. The fish was later released back into the water.
This fish basically has the characteristics of ‘piebald chain pickerel’. The body colour pattern of this particular fish is quite unique. Usually, two different colours together create variety. The Vermont Fish and Wildlife (VFW) organization explains on their Facebook page that piebald species have special pigment conditions. As a result, their body colour becomes lighter.
You can also call them leucistic species. However, in the albinism pigmentation system, the body colour becomes more pale. Pickerel fish have coloured eyes. There is no doubt that Vermont fishermen caught special fish.
