Many times our Gmail account gets so many messages that it becomes annoying. It is possible to delete unnecessary Gmail messages by adopting simple methods. You can do this from any device, mobile or desktop.
You can quickly delete everything in your inbox using the “Select All” tool at the very top of your inbox when using Gmail in a desktop browser. Click it once, and the first 100 emails (everything on the front page of your inbox) will be automatically selected.
If you want to select everything in your inbox, click the link next to the “Select All” notice in the inbox. Even if you have thousands of mails in your inbox, you will have the opportunity to delete them all at once.
When you click on the delete icon, all the messages will go to the bin folder. From there all messages will be deleted within 30 days. Messages can be archived using the Archive button.
You can also delete messages from the mobile Gmail application. But there is no feature to use ‘Select All’ option. You have to manually select multiple Gmail messages. Then you can delete all the messages using the delete option. But it is more convenient to do this from mobile to desktop.
