Many users take the help of Google to find and download a particular software. However, if you are not more careful in google searching, you may fall under the grip of hacking.
When we search for something on Google, the links associated with advertisements appear on the top screen. If you click there, you may become a victim of hacking.
Clicking on those links can potentially infect your computer with malware viruses. Usually, all these advertisement links are provided in finding some popular software like MSI Afterburner, Grammarly, Blender, Adobe Reader, Microsoft Teams, ABS, Thunderbird etc.
Many of these links are believed to be controlled by hackers. Some such complaints started coming from December. Those hackers have found a way to bypass Google’s surveillance and add malicious malware programs to users’ devices.
After clicking on all those links users are taken to a site which is harmful to the device. That site may look like the official download site of the software but in reality, it is not.
Hackers are able to do this by avoiding Google’s surveillance. Be careful when visiting GitHub, Dropbox, and Discord sites. In many cases some false advertising links may appear.
Many users fell for phishing scams last month. Even if you enter some links that are sponsored by Google, you can get hacked. Then through hacking your important information including passwords can be stolen.
