DJI, a popular drone company, is launching a new drone called the Mini 2 SE. This new drone has some upgrades compared to their previous entry-level drone. The most important upgrade is the use of DJI’s own OcuSync 2.0 transmission system. This means that the Mini 2 SE can fly much further away than the original Mini SE.
The previous model had a limit of flying up to 4 km, but with the new system, the Mini 2 SE can fly more than twice as far. The new system also helps to keep the video feed more stable even when the drone is far away.
However, it’s important to note that most countries have laws that require you to keep a visual line of sight with your drone, and the Mini 2 SE is so small that you may lose sight of it before you can fly it 10 km away. The Mini 2 SE also has a longer battery life than its predecessor. It can fly for 31 minutes on a single charge, compared to the previous model’s maximum of 30 minutes.
Aside from the upgrades, the Mini 2 SE is very similar to the previous model. It weighs less than 249 grams, so you don’t have to register it with the Federal Aviation Administration. The camera system is also the same as the previous model, with a three-axis gimbal and a 1/2.3-inch CMOS sensor that can capture 2.7K video and 12-megapixel still images.
The DJI Mini 2 SE will be available for purchase next month for $369. DJI will also offer a “Fly More Combo” bundle for $519, which includes additional batteries, replacement propellers, and a carrying case.
