A team of scientists from the Shanghai Research Institute for Intelligent Autonomous Systems under Tongji University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong has developed a prototype of a vehicle called TJ-FlyingFish. This vehicle is special because it can both fly in the air and swim underwater, which makes it useful for many different purposes.
The TJ-FlyingFish weighs 1.63 kg and has a wheelbase of 380 mm. It has been designed in a special way that allows it to move in water and air. It can fly in the air for up to six minutes and swim in water for around 40 minutes.
The vehicle has two special parts that help it move well in both water and air. One part makes sure it has enough power to move, and the other part helps it turn and move around in water.
The TJ-FlyingFish also has a special system that helps it know where it is and how to move. It uses things like GPS and other special tools to help it move on its own. This can be useful for exploring resources, finding people who need help, or inspecting things like bridges or buildings.
