The armed conflict between the two generals has created a dire situation for Sudan. History tells us that Sudanese politics have been through volatile situations before. A military coup took place in the country in 2021. General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan serves as the commander of the armed forces.
Heavy fighting has taken place between the army and the RSF in Sudan. Both sides have ample stockpiles of weapons. Since independence, there has been considerable division between the southern and northern parts of Sudan.

At that time the authoritarian government started bringing various religious issues before the people.
In 1983, the country was declared an Islamic state, and Sharia law was introduced. All these things increase the tension among the people. This war is seen as a struggle for the existence of two forces. But for a time friendly relations were maintained between these two generals. Sudan is an important country in international politics. The ruling states, including Egypt, are keeping an eye on the country’s situation.
