You may have heard the name Ajwain Paratha. It is called carom seeds flatbread in English. It is an Indian bread made from wheat flour, carom seeds, salt and ghee. Ajwain paratha with tea or coffee is great for breakfast.
The recipe for making this special paratha will be discussed today. This recipe will require wheat flour, carom seeds, ghee, salt, oil etc. Flour is always needed to make parathas. But you can add little flour here.
Crucial to this recipe is ajwain, also known as carom seeds. It is good for the stomach and helps in the digestion of food. It also helps to make the paratha more delicious.
Adding a little ghee to the dough makes the inside of the parota soft. Oil is required for frying parathas. In that case you can use olive oil or vegetable oil.
First add wheat flour, one spoon of ghee, one spoon of salt and carom seeds in a big bowl. Next time add flour and ajwain in the same bowl. Mix the ingredients well.
Then add half a cup of water occasionally. Thus the work of making soft dough will be completed. Now heat the pan to make paratha.
Divide the dough into 8-9 portions in the tawa. Roll each portion to form a ball-like shape. Roll using a rolling pin. Make a half-circle shape and fry it.
Fry to make a triangle-like shape. Care should be taken that paratha is not thin like bread. The thickness of the parota should be a little more. The side of the porta should be a little thinner.
Fry the parathas until the bottom is browned with almonds. You can brush a teaspoon of oil all around. Once the parathas are ready, you can enjoy them with breakfast.
