Websites usually have both content and advertisements. The percentage of content a web page will have and the percentage of advertising will depend on the organization. John Mueller, who works at Google, was recently asked about this.
John Mueller was asked via Twitter what the ratio of advertising to content should be. This was asked because search engine optimization can be used to rank well in Google.
Müller replies that if advertising becomes out of proportion then it is naturally understandable. There is no fixed ratio of content and advertising that can be guaranteed.
The questioner thinks it is most appropriate for a web page to be 70 percent content and 30 percent advertising. But John Mueller was asked to confirm whether Google agreed with him.
John Mueller has confirmed that Google’s algorithm does not determine rankings by any specific ratio. The ratio of advertising and content should be such that customers are satisfied. Ad ratio can be reduced if users are annoyed by excessive ads.
