Spider-Man Actor Teases Return of Sandman in Future Marvel Project
Thomas Haden Church has hinted that he may reprise his role as Sandman in a future Marvel project. During an interview with The DisInsider, the 62-year-old actor revealed that they had a whole story for Sandman’s daughter in No Way Home, but it was cut due to the amount of content in the film.
However, Church added that conversations have taken place regarding the character’s return in a future iteration of the franchise. He also stated that he would like to see the character have “a more fulfilling story” in his next appearance.
Church previously played Sandman in the 2007 movie Spider-Man 3, alongside Tobey Maguire. He reprised the role in the recent hit Spider-Man: No Way Home.
Marvel’s head honcho, Kevin Feige, has confirmed that a fourth Spider-Man movie is in the works. While details remain scarce, Feige teased that the team has “big ideas” for the film, and their writers are currently working on the script. Fans will undoubtedly be excited to see what’s next for the web-slinger and his allies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
