Motorola introduced two new phones from the Moto G series to the world. The two most advanced phones are the Moto G73 5G and the Moto G53 5G. Both phones are similar in some ways, but there are also differences between them.
At first glance, the displays of both phones may seem the same, but there is actually a big difference between them. The difference is the resolution, which affects how much detail the display shows. The Moto G73 5G has a Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, while the Moto G53 5G has an HD+ resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels. This means the display on the Moto G73 5G is much better, because it has a higher definition. Other than that, the two displays are similar. Both are 6.5-inch IPS LCD panels with a 120 Hz refresh rate.
If you want a better hardware, the Moto G73 5G is the way to go. It has a Dimensity 930 chipset by Mediatek, which is built with a 6 nm production process. It has an octa-core architecture, with two Cortex A78 cores running at a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz and six Cortex A55 cores running at 2 GHz. The phone also has 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage, which can be expanded with a micro SD card. The Moto G53 5G has a Snapdragon 480 5G chipset by Qualcomm, which runs at a maximum frequency of 2.2 GHz. It has 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of internal storage.
The front of both phones looks the same, with a flat display with a punch-hole camera in the center and a thicker bezel at the bottom. The screen covers almost 85% of the front of the phone, which is not the highest screen-to-body ratio, but it’s still good enough for most people. The back of both phones is also similar, but the Moto G73 5G has a smaller camera module, which makes it look nicer.
Both the Moto G73 5G and the Moto G53 5G have two rear cameras and the same main camera, a 50 MP sensor with an f/1.8 focal aperture. However, the secondary camera is different. The Moto G73 5G has an 8 MP ultrawide shooter, while the Moto G53 5G has a 2 MP macro lens. The selfie camera is the same 16 MP, but in some markets, the Moto G53 5G has a lower-quality 8 MP selfie camera.
Both phones have the same 5000 mAh battery, but the Moto G53 5G should last longer because it has a lower-resolution display. The Moto G73 5G charges faster, thanks to its 30W charging. The Moto G73 5G costs around $325, while the Moto G53 5G is available for around $270.
