The word Majesty is associated with a giant tree in Britain. Those who saw this tree with their own eyes did not forget to pronounce the words ‘Magnificent/ Stunning’.
It is probably the most attractive tree in all of Britain. The sight of this tree has surprised many people. It is the largest oak species in the UK. Although parts of the tree are damaged, it is still the healthiest of the oak species.
In the early 20th century, 3-4 meters of the southern part of the tree was cut. The tree is hollow and has a big hole in the middle. In August 2009, a northern branch of the tree was cut.
There are a variety of conflicting theories about how old the tree actually is. Many believe that this huge tree is at least a thousand years old. However, botanist Alan Michel said in the 1990s that the tree was not supposed to be more than 450 years old.
He tried to check the age by researching 50 ancient oaks. The tree grew rapidly in height when young. All plants observed were from Europe.
