A leader of a country has to make important decisions at various times and may have to come to an agreement with other states. There have been many such political decisions in history that have been widely discussed and criticized. Three such famous deals will be discussed today.
Chamberlain brokered the treaty between Britain and France, and the people of Czechoslovakia called Chamberlain a traitor at the time. The Munich Agreement was signed in 1938 between Germany, France, Italy and Chamberlain. As a result, much of Czechoslovakia’s territory and valuable resources went to Hitler. Although the Munich Agreement was originally intended to establish peace, it created a world war.
Former Prime Minister David Cameron organized a vote to determine whether the UK would remain in the European Union. A post-implementation study found that people in Britain now feel that their quality of life has deteriorated significantly. Another poll found that a large proportion of the public think Brexit was the wrong decision. The UK economy is likely to worsen over the next two decades.
After three car companies closed in Michigan in 2011, the population dropped by half. At the time, Michigan Governor Rick Snyder appointed people to the emergency office to improve the situation. Strict controls on water are imposed to save state dollars. Lead levels in water increased in 2014. As a result, the presence of lead in the blood of children has increased at an alarming rate. After the incident, Rick Snyder apologized.
