Alphabet, Google’s parent company actually mentioned the term AI 64 times. Pichai started the call by saying that the company is bringing together “deep computer science and AI” in this year’s product updates. The Alphabet CEO talked about the launch of its chatbot Bird in March, which was criticized for being rushed after OpenAI’s ChatGPT debut.
Microsoft has discussed AI extensively and they mentioned the term 50 times. The company has pledged to continue investing in AI through its $10 billion stake in OpenAI. Meta, formerly known as Facebook, mentioned the term 47 times. Mark Zuckerberg alone used the word “AI” 27 times, and he said the company is using AI to build “visual creation tools” for Instagram users.
Amazon only mentions the term AI seven times. But the company said it will play a role in developing the language model used in chatbots. It will take many years to develop this technology. He added that only a small number of companies would be willing to invest so much time and money, and Amazon is one of them.
