Scientists are constantly researching whether mankind is alone in this universe or whether there is life outside the earth. Researchers believe that aliens may exist outside the Earth. Scientists are looking for places that are ideal for finding life or alien existence. Research on extraterrestrials has increased significantly in recent times. In addition to the search for life on new planets, explanations of the mysteries of extraterrestrial life are also being sought.
There has been good news recently in the study of extraterrestrials. The detection of super-Earths was made possible by the Subaru Strategic Program established in 2007. It is located 37 light years from Earth.
Hairy analysis of the recently discovered Ross 508 planetary system is underway. By green zone, it is meant habitable space. There may also be liquid water here. The blue line indicates the planet’s orbit.
The planet is expected to be near the HZ (solid line) for more than half of its orbit and within the HZ (dashed line) for the remainder. The mass of the super-Earth in this rock is about four times that of our planet.
The most remarkable feature of the new planet is that its year is only equal to eleven Earth days. Red dwarfs are much smaller than the Sun and serve as the center of our solar system.
The new planet’s gravitational field is much smaller than that of the Sun and its orbit is not very large. Also, it has less diameter. The orbits of Ross’s 508 planets are elliptical. Scientists think it is within the habitable zone.
The surface of this planet is capable of holding water. But whether water or life will truly thrive there requires further discussion. It was discovered using the infrared spectrograph IRD on the Subaru Telescope (IRD-SSP).
