Many people want to use the television as a PC monitor. In that case, you need to keep four things in mind because a television does not work in the same way as a monitor does.
Generally, the size of a television is much bigger than a PC monitor. A large screen size is helpful for watching favorite movies and TV series. In that case, you can use television.
But if the size of the television is big, if you sit too close, it will damage your eyes. Try to sit at a little distance.
The total number of pixels of the display is called the resolution. If the television and monitor have the same resolution, the image on the TV may be slightly blurred. Image quality will hold up well on a PC monitor.
For example, if you use a 55-inch 1080p resolution TV, there will be 2 million pixels. Again, if you are using a PC monitor, a smaller screen will have more pixels.
Image quality is good on monitors for exactly one reason. But if you’re watching TV from a little distance, this won’t be a serious problem.
The amount of time it takes for a movement to appear on display is called input lag. The lower the input lag the better. Typically the input from the television to the PC monitor is very low. But if you are not using the television for gaming purposes, then this is not a problem for you.
Response time is the amount of time it takes for a pixel to change color. Image quality is usually focused on watching movies and videos on television.
You will notice which one has the fastest response time. You can certainly use your television as a PC monitor if your television has a good response time.
